Besides good embroidery yarn and the right embroidery needle, the embroidery fleece is very important for a beautiful embroidery result!
Embroidery backing is used to stabilise the fabric during embroidery and to create a clean and even embroidery design. It reduces needle breakage and protects the fabric from warping or stretching.
There are different types of embroidery backing such as tear-away stabilizer, adhesive stabilizer, iron-on stabilizer, water-soluble embroidery stabilizer, etc., which can be used depending on the fabric type and embroidery technique.
It might be helpful to try different types of embroidery backing to find out which one suits your needs best.
