Antimony trioxide – scarcity and exponentially rising prices
“Antomine trioxide is an extremely important raw material for the production of flame-retardant fabrics. Availability and prices are currently developing in an alarming direction.”
This is how the letter sent to customers by Giofex Deutschland GmbH on September 10, 2024 begins.
Not only Giofex is affected by this – all producers who use antimony trioxide for flame protection in textiles are affected.
The price increases will come into force on October 1.
Until then you can still order at “old” prices – use the time!
